Hello lovely followers. I know I’ve been conspicuous by my absence again, it’s been a pretty rough end to the year. I’m hoping to have a bit of recharge and replan time over the next week or so and come back all guns blazing in the New Year.

Wishing everyone a very Merry (and book-filled) Christmas. Let’s hope 2022 has better things in store! Enjoy the holidays and hold your loved ones close.

I always love Heidi’s books and was keen to read this year’s winter book despite the fact I am feeling far from festive.

On the blog today is a review of “The Shadow at the Door” by @timweaverbooks

It took me quite some time to track down this book and in the end I had to order it online but I am so glad I persevered. I love Tim’s books and the David Raker stories are so clever. This book is a unique “four stories, one connection” idea, which is not Tim’s usual style but he explains why he has done it this way for this book.

I absolutely loved it (no surprise there) - find out precisely why by heading to the link in my bio and clicking on the “Book Reviews” tab.

I totally forgot to post yesterday - how bad is that? The day just disappeared from under me and I got all behind. Shocking.

Anyway … how was everyone's weekend? It was a bit of wild one - weather wise at least! We fortunately escaped the snow and only had some fence damage from the wind but some of our neighbours didn't get off so lightly. I hope you all kept safe and sound.

Yesterday this week’s Author Platform Article went live on the blog. It’s about blog post comment moderation. This is a post that expands on a topic I've touched on briefly before in a website/blog maintenance post. This post goes into more depth and gives you some top tips on keeping on top of comments (and why you should do that).

Yesterday, my little friend came to keep me company for the day and we had a couple of lovely autumnal walks in the fields and lanes.

It’s got a bit chilly out there now though, so I’m glad I’m spending today in front of the laptop instead.

How’s November going for you? I can’t believe it’s almost December - the days are flying by far too quickly for my liking.

I’ve been working on some blog posts this morning and hoping to have some time this afternoon to put into my “coming soon” projects.

I’ve also dived into the #tbr stack I posted last weekend and am enjoying getting into reading again after having had a week or two off.

First up is Night Music by the lovely @jojomoyesofficial This is a story of obsession, grief, relationships and family life. Despite being first published in 2008, I have only just discovered this book and am glad to have been able to add it to my Jojo collection.
