Seeing Things Differently

Day 259: March 24, 2021

After yesterday’s dentist trip, today I went to the opticians. I should have gone last week but because I was so poorly, I had to postpone. It’s the annual contact lens health-check today as well as my two-yearly sight test. It seems as though a lot has changed in the last couple of years and my eyes are changing significantly. I have had to wear glasses since I was at junior school – back then only to see the blackboard, but by the end of secondary school, I was having to wear them all the time. And boy did I hate them! I started to wear contact lenses at 17 and have worn them ever since. It now seems as though my distance vision is improving but my reading vision is getting worse! I am now having to have some glasses for close up work so had fun choosing those.

Admittedly, not a lot bookish happened today, which I am sure is no surprise to anyone.
